Bilour stresses proper education, training of children
Peshawar (PPI): The Pukhtoonkhwa Senior Minister and Parliamentary Leader of ANP Bashir Ahmad Bilour while emphasizing over the proper education and training of children especially the poor and disabled, described it as the joint responsibility of not only the parents and teachers but that of the entire society all and sundry adding that it was the real jehad.He was addressing as chief guest at the concluding ceremony of 2-day workshop on elimination of children exploitation and launching a province wide campaign in connection with Universal Children Day at local hotel Peshawar on Thursday. Its logo was "our children our responsibility". The function was also addressed by Sitara Ayaz, Provincial Social Welfare Minister and Irshad Karim, Regional Director UNICEF. Bashir Bilour said that it was need of the hour to overcome population and ensure birth control due to decrease in energy, food and other resources. He regretted that in our society especially the poor families felt pride to give birth to maximum children and then even ignore their basic needs. He cautioned that international conspiracy was being hatched for genocide of Pukhtoons who were already faced with enormous problems but it could only be averted with mutual unity and proper planning. He lauded holding of the workshop on discouraging the child abuse and congratulated the Minister Social Welfare and UNICEF for it.
