I strongly against Dowry, because this is Dory which increase the diffficulties of womens life.Those girls who dont carry a lot of dowry with them most of the time face psychological and physical violance in their married life.Many of them even lost thier life too. We should discourge this custom. Growining comercil attitudes in social life also increase the demands of boys parents and increase the sufferings of girls parents. |

Dowry is Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), so it can not be ignored in a muslim society. |

Yes increasing tortures in families is mostly because of dowry but apart from this it shouldn’t be ignored that Dowry is Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), but excess of everything is bad so dowry should be given but according to family status and financial condition,it shouldn’t be a compulsion ,because in that case it really becomes a threat for every family, which is unfair and it shouldn’t be encouraged.
